He wants to hike, I want to drink coffee

So we're finding a way to do things "together". After watching Julie & Julia, about a woman who blogs her way through 500+ Julia Child recipes in one year, we figured we could do something like that.

But something less fattening, please. Though I am a foodie. He's not.

Let me introduce Mitch. He would survive very happily on beer and Clif Bars. We held an entire birthday party on that theme even. Not wheat beer, though. A preferably not light beer either.

Mitch likes to hike and take photos, particularly video. I like to sit on the couch and eat delicious and fattening dairy products. I also talk a lot.

Which brings us to a blog. A narcissistic outlet for posting every whimsical thought that comes into your head. While sitting in a perfectly climate controlled room, with a hot cup of coffee. That's where I come in on the blog.

In retrospect, outings were the exact right thing for us to try. We live in New Mexico, for heaven's sake - it doesn't get a lot prettier than that. And it's sunny. And it's been years since I got in the car every weekend to go seen aliens in Roswell, caverns in Carlsbad, cave dwellings in Bandelier, Earthship houses made of car tires in Taos - so off we go, to photograph and blog and have a good time.

Join us then? The coffee, you can guess, is brewing as we speak.
